Spider Web Candle Along With Completed Spider Webs and Spooktacular Halloween Banner

Time flies when you're having fun... Since I started this 365 Blog Challenge, I just don't know where the time goes. It seems like there's not enough time in the day to complete everything. I try to a new project everyday along with my household chores and splitting my time among my family, I barely find enough time just for myself. I'm not complaining because I'm really enjoying myself.

Since I made spider webs yesterday with glue and glitter, I decided today to take a battery operated candle from the Dollar Tree and mod podge it with a spider web napkin which also came from the Dollar Tree. Mind you, all of this is in my stash.

Also, I completed the glitter glue spider webs. In hindsight, I would not use wax paper, it was a pain to peel off the spider webs. I had six spider webs but one of the orange spider webs didn't peel off the wax paper right. Instead of taking so much time with it, I just threw it away. I would use a piece of glass from a picture frame being it's easier to peel up the spider webs.

Also, if you use a spider web template from the Internet, you can lay it underneath the glass and just draw the glue on top of the glass. I am going to make some more being I liked the outcome.

I showed all of them but my favorites are the orange and black spider webs. I'm hoping it will illuminate the spider webs on the candle once it's lit at night.

Lastly, I want to show you my finished Spooktacular Halloween Banner. I made some rosettes and hot glued them to the banner. I also put some red rhinestones for the skulls eyes and put some Studio G glitter glue in black on the spiders. I made do some more to it but right now I think it looks fine.

Above pic taken in dining room so you can see it better.

Above pic is my craft space and I think is where I'm going to hang the banner.

I appreciate everyone who takes the time to read my blog and Happy Crafting!

Spooktacular Halloween Banner For Sab's Spooky Space Challenge On YouTube

I know, I know, I know...I didn't make a blog post last night. Sometimes life just gets in the way. Had a lot going on yesterday and it was late, I was tired and fell asleep. But I'm here tonight posting late but at least I'm posting.

I'm going to participate in this Halloween challenge on YouTube. I follow Sabrina Ann and she's hosting Sab's Spooky Space Challenge. Her YouTube channel is https://www.youtube.com/user/craftychica87 and the link to the challenge is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0_1FepTylo. So check her out. She's so crafty and the challenge is going to be so much fun!

For starters I'm making a banner. It's a free printable from the Internet. The pendants measure 3 in. x 6 in. and the entire banner measure 60 inches. It says SPOOKTACULAR in colors purple, green, orange, black and white. I hot glued the pendants to a piece of black rick rack and tied different color ribbons and tulle in between the pendants.

I'm not finished with the banner but it's late, I'm tired and I'll show the finished banner either tomorrow or Monday.

I'm making all of my decorations and embellishments for the challenge. I'll be using what's in my stash and any free Halloween printables I can find on the Internet.

Gotta keep it frugal as we all know I'm on a shoestring budget. Hope it inspires you to make something for the holidays or if you don't celebrate, just make something, anything.

Happy Crafting!

XOXOXO

Diy Washi Tape...

My diy crafty project for today is washi tape. You see it everywhere. It can be expensive and sometimes they even carry it at your local Dollar Store.

I wanted to make my own, so I went on YouTube. They have tons of diy washi tape videos of various methods. There's no specific video to reference back my method. I just watched multiple videos and decided to incorporate different ones in mine.

I chose autumn and Halloween as the theme. I made 10 different designs using watercolors, inks, and stamps. I use glitter glue to accent some of the designs. Each one measures approximately 24 inches in length.

You can make your own to use in scrapbooking, card making, decorating, and anything ranging from phone cases to furniture. Washi tape is so versatile and fun to make. You can use tissue paper, scrapbook paper, junk mail, magazines, newspapers,  inks, stamps, and just about anything you have on hand to make and decorate your diy washi tape with.

Below is a list of supplies I used to make mine.

Supplies list:

1. Masking Tape 1 inch
2. Wax Paper
3. Inks ie. Stamping Inks
4. Stamps
5. Watercolor Pen
6. Glitter Glue
7. Heat Gun (aids with faster drying but not necessary)
8. 10 Toilet Paper Rolls (cut to 1 inch in width)

I leave you today with another easy peasy diy project you can make in less than 30 minutes. So I hope you have just as much fun making your washi tape as I did. Throw a diy washi tape party and invite your family and friends.

Handmade "Graphic 45" Pocket Size Travelers Notebooks Planners

Making and selling these traveler's notebook planners is not what I thought it will be. Hmmm? More time spent in the planning stage than...
